Richard A. Davidson, Jr.

Richard A. Davidson, Jr. was born and raised in Bedford, Massachusetts, and has spent his entire legal career serving the community. His deep roots in the region give him a perspective that goes beyond the courtroom - he understands the people, the courts, and the challenges facing individuals and businesses across Middlesex County and beyond.

Mr. Davidson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1985. He then went on to graduate from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio in 1988. While a law student, he participated in the school's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Law Clinic Programs, providing legal help to indigent clients who otherwise would have gone without representation.

After passing the bar, Mr. Davidson launched his career as a sole practitioner in Bedford in February 1989. During those formative years, he qualified as a Bar Advocate with the Committee for Public Counsel Services and served as a contract attorney with the Middlesex County Bar Advocates, Inc. and Middlesex Defense Attorneys, Inc. In that role, he successfully defended indigent clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges in both District and Superior Courts.

In 1996, Mr. Davidson joined the Law Offices of Corey R. Cutler, where he rose to the position of Managing Attorney. His practice there concentrated on the prosecution of personal injury matters at the District and Superior Court levels, while he also continued to privately represent criminal defendants.

From 1999 through 2009, Mr. Davidson joined Flynn & Associates, P.C., where he developed a specialized focus on freight railroad defense. He represented railroad clients in multiple jurisdictions, handling FELA claims, trespasser and child trespasser accidents, commercial litigation, and premises liability. Throughout this period, he maintained an active general practice covering criminal defense and motor vehicle negligence.

In April 2009, Mr. Davidson founded the Davidson Law Office - the culmination of two decades of broad legal experience. Today the firm continues to represent freight and passenger railroads in the defense of FELA claims and related matters, while also serving individual clients in probate, estate planning, real estate, and criminal defense.

Legal Education
